SUMMARY:Community Engagement
DESCRIPTION:A recent community engagement initiative on 25th March\, 2026\, within the Woodley Park Community\, West Coast Berbice\, has brought residents together to voice pressing issues impacting their daily lives. Several key themes emerged from the discussions. A significant concern was the barriers to employment and essential services\, as many residents stated that why employment is available the location too far\, which will cause them to travel 4 to 5 hours daily. Safety was another prevalent topic\, with residents expressing desires for increased police presence and better street lighting in certain neighborhoods. \nFurthermore\, the condition of local parks and recreational facilities was highlighted. Residents called for greater investment in maintenance and the creation of more family-friendly spaces. Finally\, concerns about affordable housing and rising living costs were a recurring point\, underscoring the need for sustainable solutions to ensure the community remains accessible to all.
