Successful Life Skills Development Session

The Global Peace Chain Guyana Chapter is pleased to share the successful completion of a Life Skills Development Session focused on Communication and Safety, held on 30th July 2026 at the Sophia Community Centre.

Facilitated by Country Director, Alex Dane Fraser, the interactive session equipped participants with practical knowledge and essential life skills to communicate effectively, make informed decisions, and prioritize personal and community safety in their daily lives.

Throughout the session, participants actively engaged in discussions, shared experiences, and explored strategies for:

• Building effective communication and active listening skills.
• Developing confidence in expressing ideas respectfully.
• Recognizing and responding to unsafe situations.
• Promoting personal responsibility, respect, and positive relationships.
• Strengthening leadership and teamwork within the community.

The enthusiasm and participation demonstrated by everyone in attendance made the session a meaningful and impactful experience. By investing in life skills education, we continue to empower individuals to become confident leaders, responsible citizens, and advocates for safer and stronger communities.
